Management Team
Ecommerce & Growth Lead
Warning: this job involves doing things that aren’t in the job description.
The best consumer brands rarely come from people protecting job titles or waiting for perfect answers. They’re built by people willing to get their hands dirty, wear five hats before lunch, ask the “stupid” questions nobody else asks, make mistakes quickly and learn even quicker.
That’s exactly how we build brands at Sweet Spot.
About Sweet Spot
Sweet Spot builds consumer brands with celebrities, creators and industry experts.
Before we launch anything, we spend months testing ideas. We survey audiences, build communities, challenge assumptions, develop products, validate demand and work out whether a business deserves to exist.
We’re looking for an Ecommerce & Growth Lead to join the management team and play a key role in that process.
The Role
This isn’t a normal ecommerce role.
Yes, you’ll help build and grow ecommerce businesses. But you’ll also help decide what businesses we build in the first place.
You’ll work across multiple ventures at the same time, helping take them from idea to launch and beyond.
One week you might be analysing survey results to work out whether a product idea has legs.
The next you might be helping shape a business plan, building a launch strategy, reviewing a Shopify site, working on retention or helping a founder solve a commercial problem.
You’ll also need to be highly organised. We usually have multiple brands moving through the pipeline at the same time, each with different founders, deadlines, suppliers and challenges. Part of the job is bringing order to the chaos, keeping projects moving and making sure great ideas actually make it into customers’ hands.
You’ll be involved throughout the entire process:
Selecting opportunities
Building communities
Running surveys and analysing feedback
Developing and testing hypotheses
Validating products and business models
Building business plans
Planning launches
Building ecommerce strategies
Driving growth after launch
What We’re Looking For
Strong ecommerce experience, ideally in FMCG
Experience working in startups or high-growth businesses
Shopify knowledge
Strong project management and organisational skills
Commercially minded
Comfortable with data and consumer insight
Happy switching between strategy and execution
Strong leadership skills
Naturally curious
Low ego
High energy
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys building things.
